A delightful pause.
Hi, I’m Renske Werner, an artist in Vancouver. I make illustrated maps, animations, editorial pieces and murals for clients in real estate, food and beverage, non-profits and publishing. Each project is unique, and I adapt my style to fit the concept and vibe. My goal? To create approachable and uplifting artwork that offers people a delightful pause in their busy lives.

fruitful
Created in collaboration with Kashu Company, the animation, FRUITFUL, is my personal response to the exhibition prompt Is This Working?, reflecting on how repetition, labour, and time can both ground and exhaust us.

An illustrated map of Vancouver’s West End and Downtown, transformed into a public art wrap for a BC Hydro electricity box. This artwork celebrates the character of the neighbourhoods through playful and detailed linework.
An independent group exhibition I co-curated that brought together artists and designers to reflect on the poetics and absurdities of productivity, value, and the structures that shape how we work.

featured collaboration.
FRUITFUL is an animation created in collaboration with Kashu Company for Is This Working?, an exhibition I co-curated in Vancouver. Using surreal imagery of paper, clocks, and falling apples, it reflects on the cycles of productivity and repetition that shape daily life—where routine can both ground and exhaust us. FRUITFUL captures the ambivalence of modern work: finding beauty in repetition, even as the job is never truly done.
